Have only had this for a couple weeks, but have had it on the wish list for over a year! Started out with a D40, perfectly good starter DSLR.Quickly gained proficiency and wanted more.Enjoy the ability to mount, more ISO control, auto-focus on a couple of lenses I have the D40 will not AF, better sensor, more megapixels, etc.. Just more control over all. This camera is not for the beginner that you are unlikely to make the most money you would spend. But when you've mastered the entry level DSLR, this is a great step up.
