The BU-353 worked nicely with my old Pentium Toshiba laptop. I use it with the OziExplorer navigation program and the GPS identified as a NMEA0183 "other" type GPS receiver. The unit appears to be accurate within 10 feet and do everything he could expect. Just have to remember that it is only a receiver with no memory for waypoints, tracks, routes or the other things that a full up GPS navigation unit normally has.Of course, that is why it is small and inexpensive. Use your laptop and a program and you have a full navigation unit.
