Most of my lens purchases have been Tamron and they have not let me down yet. This lens is awesome from 18 - 250mm my old 28 - 300mm probably won't be used much anymore.Just a pity that I bought this lens before you will not regret making the purchase in. The only thing I do not like is the lens barrel will slide out unless you keep the lock engaged but I have gotten used to it so it does not interfere with my enjoyment of the lens..
